By Charles Krauthammer

A LITTLE LONG BUT WORTH READING......

My friend went to hear Charles Krauthammer.

He listened with 25 others in a closed room. What he says here, is NOT second-hand but first-hand.

Subj: Charles Krauthammer Speech/Comments on the 'New Economy' and Barack Obama To my friends & associates:
Last Monday was a profound evening, hearing Dr. Charles Krauthammer speak to the Center for the American Experiment. He is a brilliant intellectual, seasoned and articulate. He is forthright and careful in his analysis, and never resorts to emotions or personal insults. He is NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a fiscal conservative, and has a Pulitzer prize for writing. He is a frequent contributor to Fox News and writes weekly for the Washington Post. The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have shared this with many of you and several have asked me to summarize his comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and internationally. Even two Dems at my table agreed with everything he said!

If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and have not 'drunk the Kool- Aid', feel free. A summary of his comments:

1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not to be underestimated. He is a 'cool customer' who doesn't show his emotions. It's very hard to know what's 'behind the mask'. Taking down the Clinton dynasty from a political neophyte was an amazing accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them. Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time.
2. Obama has political skills comparable to Reagan and Clinton. He has a way of making you think he's on your side, agreeing with your position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attnention to what he SAYS; rather, watch what he DOES!
3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can't be straightforward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand, and wants to 'level the playing field' with income redistribution and punishment of the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA to Great Britain or Canada .
4. His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, and NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government He doesn't care about the auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early bonus. The cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle growth. Paying for FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is his healthcare program, because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000 people to a Medicare-type single- payer system, the costs will go through the roof. The only way to control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada . God forbid.
5. He's surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types. No one around him has ever run even a candy store. But they're going to try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This obviously can't work in the long run. Obama's not a socialist; rather a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left.. Again, watch what he does, not what he says.
6. Obama doesn't really see himself as President of the USA , more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate and coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalence in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany and England was a prime example of how he sees America , as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!
7. He's now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will not 'come due' until after he's reelected in 2012. He'd like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the future. He has a huge ego, and Mr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist.
8. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge strong. We're 'pining' for another Reagan, but there'll never be another like him. He believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and Bobby Jindahl (except for his terrible speech in Feb.) are the future of the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage. Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent, but needs to really be seriously boning up on facts and information if she's to be a serious candidate in the future. We need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and states' rights.
9. The current level of spending is irresponsible & outrageous. We're spending trillions that we don't have. This could lead to hyper inflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi a pass because they love their agenda. But eventually the bill will come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn't work, nor will the stimulus pkg. These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama's allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get support for #4 above.
10.. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman Brothers failed. Fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcome. The people are in pain, and the mantra of 'change' caused people to act emotionally. Any Dem would have won this election; it was surprising is was as close as it was.
11. In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be swept back into power. If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll. If it's between 8-10%, it'll be a dogfight. It'll all be about the economy.

I hope this gets you really thinking about what's happening in Washington and Congress. There's a left- wing revolution going on, according to Krauthammer, and he encourages us to keep the faith and join the loyal resistance. The work will be hard, but we're right on most issues and can reclaim our country, before it's far too late.

MJ, Wacko Jacko, Michael, King of Pop ????

Everyone will remember MJ for various reasons & thats good, I guess..

Myself, maybe it's my age or my taste of music or my moral ideals, I am not sure. Maybe it is all of that.
He seemed to have unusual talents, I never went out of my way to see or hear him but occasionally he would pop up on the screen (pepsi commercials, etc.)
For me, I will remember:

One less crotch grabbing obscene idiot on family tv.

One less danger for small boys.

One less idiot hanging babies out of upstairs windows.

One less person with talent as a fine young boy turn himself into a circus sideshow freak.

I am cruel, I don't feel sorry for MJ - he self destructed. but I do have compassion for his family, for them I am truely sorry.

He was supposed to have had some real close great friends, Liz Taylor being one. Where was her influence? Everytime I seen Jacko looking, acting like an idiot, Liz was comforting him and inviting him to parties.

Michael is not a Hero, He is not someone that young people should look up to. After watching TV news the last 24 hours, We are totally screwed up as a society putting this human, man-child, whatever on any form of pedistal.
People, MJ was not and is not the kind of celebrity you want young people looking up to. Myself I will turn the channel everytime he is being idolized. It is disgusting.......

Honest Abe

Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.

Abraham Lincoln

CHANGE

Change

Not long ago I read a joke ... It said all the politicians running for president are promising change to the American people. We send them billions and billions of tax dollars and they send us the change.
Funny?

Not really; there is too much truth in it to be funny.

That got me to thinking ... They all promise change. How about if they run on a promise of restoration rather than change.

A restoration that would take us back in time to a place where things ran better, smoother and life was more enjoyable. Change? That, in truth, is what they have been giving us all along.

We used to have a strong dollar ... Politicians changed that..

Marriage used to be sacred .. Politicians are changing that.

We used to be respected around the world ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have a strong manufacturing economy ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have lower tax structures ... Politicians changed that.

We used to enjoy more freedoms ... Politicians changed that.

We used to be a large exporter of American made goods ... Politicians changed that.

We used to teach patriotism in schools ... Politicians changed that.

We used to educate children in schools ... Politicians changed that.

We used to enforce LEGAL citizenship ... Politicians changed that.

We used to have affordable food & gas prices ... Politicians changed that, too....and one could go on and on with this list.

What hasn't been changed, politicians are promising to change that as well, if you will elect them.

When, oh when, is America going to sit back with open eyes and look at what we once were and where we have come and say, enough is enough?

The trouble is, America 's youthful voters today don't know of the great America that existed forty and fifty years ago. They see the world as if it has always existed, as it is now.

When will we wake up? Tomorrow may be too late. When will America realize...Politicians are what is wrong with America !! ??

What is needed is for the constitution to be amended to limit all Senators and Representatives to TWO terms in office like the President.

Oh, by the way, no big pension either, Social Security just like the rest of us.

Being a politician shouldn't be a persons life work but rather a call to service then back to being an honest hard working citizen.

Once Upon A Time

First it was: "I had a Dream"

.....now it's.....

"I AM the Dream"! ! !

A Fairy Tale???

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America , having lost their morals, their initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as The One.
He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, "I am sent to save you.
My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence. For I shall save you with Hope and Change. Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who preceded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed."

And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what The One would do, he had promised that it was good; and they believed. And The One said, "We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!"And the people said, "Hallelujah!! Change is good!"
Then He said, "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats." And the people said, "Sock it to them! And redistribute their wealth. Show us the money!"

And then He said, "Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody." And Joe the plumber asked, "Are you kidding me? You're going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??"
And The One ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked and publicized.

One lone reporter asked, "Isn't that Marxist policy?" And she was banished from the kingdom!

Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with radical terrorists?" And The One said, "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!"
And the people said, "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!"

Then The One said, "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes." And one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes." So The One said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!" And the people said, "Hallelujah!! Show us the money!"

Then The One said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!" And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed. And He said, "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the clinics."

And the people said, "Give me some of that!" Then He said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas." And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"

Then The One said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!" And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates." So The One said, "Not to worry. If your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out.
Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!"

Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..." And the people said, "Hallelujah!!" And they made him King!

And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy sank as a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support. Then The One said, "I am the The One - The Messiah - and I'm here to save you! We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!"

But our foreign trading partners said unto Him, "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more..." And the people said, "Wait a minute. That is unfair!!" And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!" And the people cried out,
"Alas, alas!! What have we done?"
But yea verily, it was too late. The people set upon The One and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung.
And the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope. And the Change The Onehad given them was as a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built.
And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!"
But it was too late, and their homeland was no more.

You may think this is a fairy tale, but it's not.

It's happening RIGHT NOW!

I once was but I was able to quit

I once smoked, Oh Ya -- lets see,,, started when I was 15 (then you was really cool) ,, quit on my 63rd birthday. figure that out, that would be 48 yrs.... 2-3 pks. everyday.. Holy Crap! what we will do to ourselves. It was a Hell of a lot easier to start than it was to quit but I finally did it. My advise "don't start",, not cool, not even smart.

I once put career first, family second --- Now that was really stupid & selfish. I am not going to spend much time on this because I am not a bit proud of ever being that blind, stupid or selfish. All I can really say is to My Family: I am sorry, really sorry.

I once was a Democrat --- Yups, full blown Democrat. Even donated cash every time it was requested. Born a Democrat, Raised a Democrat, even tried to think like one.
But then along came Jimmy Carter and I started my waking up process ( hey I said started! )
Then one day Bill & Hillary came on the scene... I was one of the lucky ones, I seen thru them pretty quick. I thought to myself, whats my choices? Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian or one of them other off the main stream parties.
I have to admit I have always been moderate and a bit to the right or I started leaning that way sometime in the last 20-25 years.
My problems with Clinton? everything! yup, everything that has ever been written about him, everything he has ever done or said. To numerous to even get into.
Bush 1, I thought he was a good man & good for us during the years we had him. Bush 2, some won't like this and most won't agree but I like him now and I liked him as President. The main thing G.W. did not do that I greatly disagreed with was leave our borders open. I won't forgive him for that one.

Now,,, I am going to be a good Republican as I have been since my awakening but if my party fails to see the importance of closing our borders and getting all illegal aliens out of my country then I guess I will be looking for another party that feels the way I do.
How can so many things illegal really be illegal but illegal aliens aren't really illegal, not paying taxs is illegal but if the Dems choose to not pay taxs it's not really illegal?? Kind of strange, isn't it?

I once was young -- but, I wouldn't want to do it again. It was tough, it was fun. I met all my friends, met my wife, met my kids, grandkids and 1 little bugger (my great grandson) they are the reason.

I once was smart -- You know, the thing I wish I could turn back and redo the most? spend more time with my dad, he was really a great man but it took me to long to figure that out and of course spend more time with family when you are younger. Things like camping, fishing, sledding, swimming, hiking...

The Axis of Idiots

Entry for May 02, 2009

I am going to put an article in here that some will not agree with and some of you will wish you had the skills to present this view.
Written by J.D. Pendry

J.D. Pendry is a retired Marine Sergeant Major who writes for Random House.
He is eloquent, and as taught by the Marines, he seldom beats around the
bush!

'The Axis of Idiots'

Jimmy Carter, you are the father of the Islamic Nazi movement. You threw the
Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home, and then lacked the spine
to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our people
hostage. You're the runner-in-chief.

Bill Clinton, you played ring around the Lewinsky while the terrorists were
at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia and then you
ran from it. Your weak-willed responses to the USS Cole and the First Trade
Center Bombing & Our Embassy Bombings emboldened the killers. Each time you
failed to respond adequately, they grew bolder, until 9/11/2001.

John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent attribute. You lied about
American Soldiers in Vietnam . Your military service, like your life, is
more fiction than fact. You have accused our military of terrorizing women
and children in Iraq . You called Iraq the wrong war, wrong place, wrong
time, the same words you used to describe Vietnam . You are a fake. You want
to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did to the
Vietnamese. Iraq , like Vietnam , is another war that you were for, before
you were against it.

John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can't win
militarily in Iraq . You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded
murder without proof and said we should redeploy to Okinawa -- Okinawa ,
John? And the Democrats call you their military expert! Are you sure you
didn't suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war
hero resume? You're a sad, pitiful, corrupt and washed up politician. You're
not a Marine, sir. You're a phony and a disgrace. Run away, John.

Dick Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders
of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot, who murdered two
million of his own people after your party abandoned Southeast Asia to the
Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the same fate. History was
not a good teacher for you, was it? Lord help us! See Dick run.

Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster-sized pictures from Abu Ghraib
in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying
that Iraqi's torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see
the news, Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrated another beheading for you.
If you truly supported our troops, you would show the world poster-sized
pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it.Your legislation
stripping support from the South Vietnamese led to a communist victory
there. You're a bloated, drunken fool bent on repeating the same historical
blunder that turned freedom-seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal
maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on your wide,
gin-soaked rear-end in Washington .

Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Russ
Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, the
Hollywood Leftist morons, et al, ad nauseam: Every time you stand in front
of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war
because our President lied, that the war is wrong and our Soldiers are
torturers, that we should leave Iraq, you give the Islamic butchers - the
same ones that tortured and mutilated American Soldiers - cause to think
that we will run away again, and all they have to do is hang on a little
longer. It is inevitable that we, the infidels, will have to defeat the
Islamic jihadists. Better to do it now on their turf, than later on ours
after they have gained both strength and momentum.

American news media, the New York Times particularly: Each time you publish
stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering
methods, you become one united with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that
torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can't strike up
the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my
country. Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda is. Think
about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer.

You are America's 'AXIS OF IDIOTS.' Your Collective Stupidity will destroy
us. Self-serving politics and terrorist-abetting news scoops are more
important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent
civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the
way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing.
There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of murdering
terrorists. Don't ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve to extend
this war as they extended Vietnam . If you want our Soldiers home as you
claim, knock off the crap and try supporting your country ahead of
supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies.
Yes, I'm questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with self. I'm also
questioning why you're stealing air that decent Americans could be
breathing. You don't deserve the protection of our men and women in uniform.
You need to run away from this war, this country. Leave the war to the
people who have the will to see it through and the country to people who are
willing to defend it.
Our country has two enemies:Those who want to destroy us from the outside
and those who attempt it from within.

Semper Fi,
J. D. Pendry - Sergeant Major, USMC, Retired

Thank You for your years of Service to our Country, Sergeant Major Pendry

The Right was Wrong! The Left is Nuts?
Where do we go from here? Whats next?

1.Is it just me or does anyone have a problem with PC (political correctness)?

2.How about our open borders that our politicians don't seem to worry about?

3.The moral issues facing our Country?

4.The so-called Hollywood celebrities that can't seem to make a decent movie but sure seem to have the idea they can shape America into what they think it should be?

5.Is corruption in politics on the rise?

6.How about the U.N. and what good is it anyway?

7.God not allowed in school or Gov.?

8.The money we have borrowed from China?

9.Buying goods made in China? Are they not poisoning our children? Our Pets? hurting our kids with faulty, unsafe toys that have been painted with lead? Their milk has been poisoned, toys poisoned, clothes have been poisoned with some chemical in their plastics,. They can't even make a can of dogfood that won't kill your pet. They have no Human rights and they are about to own us.

Am I the only one that is scared to death? Is their anything we can do about it? Do we want to? I sure do. Just think about this next line.
I volunteer at a local FoodBank in my town. I give out commodities to people down on their luck and just need a little helping hand to get up again. A while back I give a commodity box to a Senior Citizen which needed a little help. He came back in a couple days with a can of mixed fruit which he would have enjoyed but: the can said packed in China on it. The old man said, their dog food is killing our pets and I am supposed to eat their food? I found a can of fruit (not from china) and gladly replaced it for the Sr. Citizen. I also disposed of the can of fruit. Now I don't know about you but I don't think I would have eat the fruit either. I don't have anything against the Chinese people or anyone, it's their government, like ours that I worry about. Is their anything U.S. citizens can do and should we do something?
I would like to hear from anyone that may be concerned. Maybe this is just and old man that is still living in the 50s, what do you think?
Let me know, Thanks.
